Department of Communication Studies 2018 Spring Public Speaking Contest

Wednesday, April 11, 7:00 – 8:30pm at 102 Miller Learning Center

 

Supervisor: Dr. Roger Stahl

Eligibility

Students enrolled in all undergraduate-level COMM courses that require research credit or offer extra credit for research participation are eligible to participate in this opportunity as audience in the public speaking contest.

 

Time to Complete

2 hours

Requirements

Students looking to attend for research credit must sign in in at least 15 minutes before the event starts (6:45) and sign out at the end of the event. Instructors will receive names of students who attended and may ask for additional documentation before awarding credit.

The spring public speaking contest will feature around eight contestants, nominated by their instructors, to showcase their abilities for a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded to top speakers, and refreshments will be served.
